Online Services
I thought that the purposes of buying new systems and providing things online was to increase availability. Apparently IU doesn't quite get that. Even though we have spend millions of dollars on a new Student Information System from Peoplesoft, the system still closes down at 11:30PM. It just doesn't make sense.

you got us beat they just extended our times last spring so now our online services are open 7a to 11p, why do they have time limits at all, i mean its not like someone is manually imputing data.

I'll admit, I thought that when IU upgraded the system, it should have been "on" 24/7 like any other web service. I mean, you don't see "Store Hours" at amazon.com, do you? It would be ridiculous, and misses the point of being on the Internet.
