Green Thumb?

I donated blood today, so I decided to reward myself with some dorm room foliage. I drove over to Lowe's after my White Castle lunch and picked up a Bromeliad. it is a plant that stands about 1.5 feet tall and has a very dramatic yellow flower at the very top. It really caught my eye.
